AmerikaHaus Projects
Beyond our regular event program, we work on specific projects which target specific audiences: under the label of AmerikaHaus@School, we offer seminars, book readings, and excursions for students; and through thematic events and trade fair appearances, we target start-ups.
EducationUSA@AmerikaHausNRW
With EducationUSA, we are offer free virtual assistance to all interested students and their parents regarding study and research opportunities in the U.S. This program is run in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State.
Publications
In 2020, we founded the AmerikaHaus NRW Journal, which appears as a "journal within journal" in the magazine 360° USA. We are also active participants in various other publications.
AmerikaHaus@School
The AmerikaHaus@School project brings knowledgable speakers into the classroom to discuss transatlantic affairs, explore current political and economic issues, and spark interest in the richness of American culture. By meeting and interacting with experts as equals, AmerikaHaus@School allows young people to critically discuss relevant social issues and fosters an interest in the transatlantic exchange.
Start-Ups
North Rhine-Westphalia is home to the largest number of U.S. companies in Germany. NRW is evolving behind Berlin but ahead of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg into the home of numerous start-up companies, especially in the field of digitalization. The successful establishment of digital hubs in Aachen, Bonn, Düsseldorf and Cologne, supported by the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, is proof of this.
