Mit Gott gegen die Demokratie

Am 10. März 2026 fand im Haus der evangelischen Kirche in Köln eine Buchvorstellung von Mit Gott gegen die Demokratie: Warum der christliche Nationalismus alle angeht des Journalisten Arnd Henze statt. An der Diskussion nahmen außerdem Thomas Rachel, Mitglied des Bundestages und des Rates der Evangelischen Kirche in Deutschland, sowie virtuell Reverend Dr. Karen Georgia A. Thompson, Präsidentin der United Church of Christ und der World Communion of Reformed Churches, und Professor Philip Gorski von der Yale University teil.

Barbershop Concert

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, AmerikaHaus NRW hosted an evening of transatlantic barbershop music at VENTANA in Cologne, featuring Portland’s award-winning mixed-gender chorus PDX Voices alongside the German ensembles O-Ton and Klangküsse.

„Das Erwachsene Land“ mit Holger Stark

Am 4. und 5. März 2026 lud das AmerikaHaus NRW zu zwei Gesprächsabenden mit Holger Stark, stellvertretender Chefredakteur der ZEIT, anlässlich der Erscheinung seines Buches Das erwachsene Land: Deutschland ohne Amerika, eine historische Chance ein. In Bonn fand die Veranstaltung in Kooperation mit der Deutschen Atlantischen Gesellschaft statt und in Düsseldorf mit dem MaxHaus – Katholisches Stadthaus.
