Am 28. September 2026 lud das AmerikaHaus NRW gemeinsam mit der Kölner VHS und dem Büro für Europa und Internationales der Stadt Köln in das VHS-Forum ein. Unter dem Titel „Das Land der Freiheit? 250 Jahre USA zwischen Ideal und Realität“ ging es um die Frage, wie sich die Versprechen der amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitserklärung im Laufe der Geschichte entwickelt haben.
Screening and Discussion of "Union County"
On September 17, 2026, AmerikaHaus NRW presented the German premiere of Union County (2026) at Filmpalette in Cologne. The screening was followed by a discussion with Dr. Katharina Fackler, Assistant Professor in the North American Studies Program at the University of Bonn.
