On Super Bowl Sunday, football fans gathered at the Hard Rock Café Cologne for an unforgettable evening hosted by AmerikaHaus NRW e.V. in partnership with the Indianapolis Colts. The event offered a great opportunity for fans to come together and experience this American sports highlight in a lively atmosphere.

Before the game began, AmerikaHaus NRW Director Viktoria Harbecke welcomed attendees and set the stage for an evening celebrating the sport and the strong transatlantic ties it fosters. A special highlight was a live-streamed interview with Marcel Dabo, a German NFL player for the Indianapolis Colts, who spoke to the audience from New Orleans. Dabo shared insights into his journey in the NFL, his experiences playing at the highest level, and the growing popularity of football in Germany.

As part of the evening’s program, guests also participated in the annual Super Bowl quiz, testing their knowledge of football history, iconic plays, and past Super Bowl moments. One lucky winner walked away with an exclusive jersey signed by former NFL player Björn Werner, generously provided by the Indianapolis Colts.

With the game underway, fans cheered for their teams, engaged in discussions about plays and strategies. The event once again demonstrated the growing enthusiasm for American football in Germany and the vibrant community of fans which it brings together.
