Donald Trump’s presidency has led to fundamental changes, also to US-German relations. In emphasizing 'America First', the US has shifted the global to a ra-ther national perspective. Tariffs have become a tool to promote political and economic goals, at the expanse of free trade. This has immediate effects on businesses of countries like Germany, which is increasingly criticized for its sup-posed 'trade surplus' – the result of the post-war export-driven economy.

Business has responded with growing investments in the US, at the same time facing an increased control of foreign investments. An economist, a member of the German Federal Parliament, a transatlantic entrepreneur, and a US lawyer advising German companies in the US will discuss best practices for German businesses to react in the face of this new emerging economic world order as well as reactions from the US business communities to these developments.

Free Entrance. The Event will be held in English. Followed by a reception with cold drinks and finger food. Space is limited and will be assigned in the order of registrations received.
