Melissa Anne Hart is an American lawyer and politician. She was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from 2001 to 2007, representing Pennsylvania's 4th congressional district. She was the first Republican woman to represent Pennsylvania at the federal level. Prior to her service in Congress, Hart served in the Pennsylvania Senate, where she chaired the finance committee.

Former Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Washingtons 7th District 1989-2017

Jim McDermott has over 40 years of public service in the federal and state government. He served on the United States House Ways and Means Committee, i. e. the House of Representatives’ chief tax-writing committee, and was a member of its Progressive Caucus. He frequently appeared on major national and international media outlets and is known as an accomplished communicator – e.g., through his TEDx talks. In 2018, he delivered AmerikaHaus NRW‘s Otto Wolff Lecture. Jim McDermott holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science from Wheaton College.
