Former Members of Congress 2022 Bonn

The AmerikaHaus NRW e.V., the North-American Studies Program of the University of Bonn, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Center for Advanced Security, Strategic and Integration Studies (CASSIS) and the Association of Former Members of Congress cordially invite you to discuss and analyze the lessons of this year's US Midterm Elections with two former members of the US Congress.

Martha Roby (Republican) served as the U.S. Representative for Alabama's second congressional district from 2011 to 2021. Early in her tenure, she served on the Agriculture, Armed Services, and Education and Workforce committees. She also served as the chairman of the Subcommittee of Oversight and Investigations of the House Armed Services Committee during the 113th Congress and was the ranking member of the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet for the House Judiciary Committee in the 116th Congress.

Ben McAdams (Democrat) was a member of the U.S. House, representing Utah's 4th Congressional District from 2019 to 2021. McAdams is a former Democratic Salt Lake County Mayor and former member of the Utah State Senate. He represented the 2nd Senate District from 2010 to 2012. McAdams announced he would resign from the State Senate in January 2013 after winning election as Mayor of Utah’s largest county. He was re-elected to a second term as Mayor in November 2016.
