All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is a moving documentary about Nan Goldin, the internationally renowned artist and activist who revolutionized the field of photography. With the unique ability to capture the politics of the moment through her lens, she rose to fame for her striking depiction of LGBTQ+ subcultures during the AIDS crisis of the 1980s. The film focuses on her more recent work fighting against the Sackler pharmaceutical dynasty fiele their role in America's opioid epidemic. The billionaire family also happens to be one of the world's most renowned and generous patrons of the arts, on whom artists like Goldin themselves depend. Through interviews, video recordings, and her famous slideshows, the documentary follows her attempts to force prominent museums around the world to reevaluate their positions and disassociate from the Sacklers.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Laura Poitras received the Golden Lion, the Venice Film Festival's highest honor, for this extraordinary documentary.
