It's been one year that most observers have been shocked by Donald Trump's electoral victory in the United States. Ever since, his new political style and his unprecendented presidential behavior have made the world guessing about his intentions. Tonight, we discuss what has changed in the US and what happend to the relationship with Europeans. We discuss societal changes, e.g. growing inequality, as well as political developments, e.g. polarization. What are the consequences of Donald Trump's presidency from a European perspective? Our guests are Angela Freimuth (Vice President of the State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia), Prof. Jeremy Mayer (George Mason University, Arlington, Virginia) and PD Dr. Elisabeth Schäfer-Wünsche (North American Studies, University of Bonn). The evening will be moderated by Tobias Flessenkemper, board member of Europa-Union Deutschland.
